**Sofas manufactured before November 2002 use the old glides, and they are no longer available. The ones we use now are longer and are not compatible with the older sofas.

Important Installation Information
Before installing your new Stressless Glide Tube, carefully inspect the spider tube and remove all remnants of the old glide tube. In many cases, the white bumper from the original glide tube becomes lodged inside the spider tube. The spider tube is the black arm welded to the sofa's cylindrical steel support bar, where the old glide tube was removed. Each seat has two spider tubes.
We have found that a metal wire coat hanger works well for this task. Simply bend one end into a small hook and use it to pull out any remaining pieces trapped inside the spider tube.
Failure to remove all old components can prevent the new glide tube from seating properly. This may cause the seat to sit unevenly, place excessive stress on the replacement part, and potentially lead to premature failure of the new glide tube.
