The ReCLIPS Outdoor Rocking Chair—a harmonious blend of style and sustainability. Its distinctive design features wide plastic lamellas securely clipped onto a lightweight, powder-coated aluminum frame.

Crafted from recycled Danish household plastic waste and locally produced in Denmark, these lamellas exemplify the innovative technology developed within the country for repurposing plastic waste into functional furniture. Thus, the ReCLIPS Outdoor Rocking Chair epitomizes the fusion of Danish design principles with inventive material applications.

This chair offers both comfort and durability, available in four sophisticated monochromatic options, with armrests crafted from either bamboo or aluminum. Thanks to its aluminum frame and UV-protected plastic lamellas, maintenance is kept to a minimum, ensuring lasting enjoyment of your outdoor space.

We stopped looking at trash as a problem and started seeing it as the resource it is. And we created chairs with lamellas made from Danish household plastic trash.

FROM TRASH TO TREASURE
Developing ReCLIPS, HOUE determined that the proper steps were taken in creating a responsible collection of chairs. By using household plastic trash instead of virgin – or recycled industrial plastic, it is not only the recycling of plastic and the use of the trash that is beneficial – there are also significant savings on the amount of energy used in production.
When creating products from household plastic trash, we worked systematically, considering how things are always connected. Consequently, we base our decisions on facts and thorough documentation.

At end of life the chair can be recycled by separating the plastic from wood and steel.

Regular cleaning should be done with a cloth and lukewarm water. If your outdoor products need extra cleaning, a gentile detergent can be used.

If possible, outdoor products should be stored in a dry place during the winter to protect them from the elements. We do not recommend covering the furniture, since the lack of breathability might accumulate condensation on the furniture.

Since aluminum is very corrosion-resistant, it is only necessary with a decorative powder coat. If the product unluckily gets scratched or damaged, this will not spread and does not degrade the product. A repair lacquer can be used after any loose paint is removed.
