Model 23 is available in classic paper or in LE KLINT's durable, standard, patina-resistant plastic.

The US version is configured for North American electrical standards with an E26 medium base socket rather than the European E27 fitting. Maximum wattage refers specifically to LED light sources. The 13.75", 19.75", and 23.5" models accept a maximum 15W LED bulb, while the 39.25" model accepts a maximum 20W LED bulb. LE KLINT lists the corresponding European versions with E27 sockets and the same 15W or 20W LED limits.

Standard plastic is a specialized hard PVC lampshade material produced in Europe and designed for a clean white appearance that is patina-resistant. Folded plastics offer even light transmission, and straightforward maintenance. The plastic foil is UV resistant, fire retardant, and antistatic.

LE KLINT is synonymous with lampshades. Iconic, hand-folded shades take years of learning techniques and mastering many different pleating forms. Only then can a student test into certification to become part of the skilled team of Pleating Technicians. However, this is only a fraction of the procedure of each lamp. Specialist metal workers, woodworkers, and engineers play a big part in the magic of creating unique illuminated art. These tenets have gone hand-in-hand with the folding process since their genesis.
A dedicated LE KLINT team takes great pride in every aspect of the production, fitting, quality control, and shipment procedures to ensure each lamp is unique. In-house production facilities in Odense collaborate with skilled suppliers such as wood carvers, metal casters, and glass blowers, based in Denmark or internationally, with the main focus on quality as “the” guideline.
Care depends on the selected shade material. Paper shades require a gentler approach, while standard plastic shades can tolerate more routine surface cleaning. Always switch the fixture off and allow the bulb to cool completely before cleaning.
