By using household plastic trash instead of virgin – or recycled industrial plastic, it is not only the recycling of plastic and the use of the trash that is beneficial – there are also significant savings on the amount of energy used in production.

Steel is protected with a hard surface of decorative powder coat, ensuring a product that lasts for many years. To ensure good corrosion resistance on steel outdoor furniture, Houe utilizes a zinc-rich primer, making the surface suitable for outdoor use. Should the product get scratched or damaged, the metal will begin to rust, though this will not spread nor degrade the product. A repair lacquer can be applied after removing any rust or loose paint.
Maintenance involves regular cleaning with a cloth and lukewarm water. For additional cleaning, an auto shampoo can be used following the instructions on the bottle. For furniture near in extra-humid climates or in chlorine-filled environments, scheduled maintenance is suggested. Ideally, outdoor furniture should be stored in a dry place during the winter to protect it from the elements. Short-term, Houe does not recommend covering the furniture, as the lack of breathability might accumulate condensation on the furniture and result in extra cleaning.

The Nami Chair comes with a Manufacturer five-year warranty. Houe has a 2-year warranty on all powder coat surfaces. However, the warranty does not cover:
