A modern take on a classic look, the American Leather - Ada Comfort Recliner boasts delicately rolled arms that blend with transitional, traditional, and eclectic decors. The back and footrest operate independently and are infinitely adjustable so that you can find your perfect sitting position. The curvy, sleek frame and subtle curves are accentuated by single-needle topstitching. Specify swivel base, stationary legs, or four-star cross base; manual or power mechanism. Optional battery available.

Comfort is Only a Push of a Button Away

You can adjust the leg rest, back, and headrest positions with three independent motors to achieve maximum comfort. These positions make up American Leather's reclining Infinity System™. The power button hand control is on the inside right arm.

The built-in hand control by German engineering group Limoss features three dual-action buttons and a 5V/2A USB port that is great for charging your phone or tablet. Control the footrest and backrest with independent buttons. For a convenient, relaxing motion, use the back button to simultaneously control both the footrest and headrest. This feature also speeds up the mechanism when sitting upright to get out of the chair.

Relax with Ease at a Pull of Lever

American Leather's manual reclining Infinity System™ allows users to keep the footrest where the legs stop. Releasing the lever locks the footrest in place for a comfortable ergonomic angle. Complete the relaxation experience by pushing your torso back and using the recliner's arms for leverage.

To reverse the process and return to an upright position, casually lean forward into an upright position, pull back on the lever, and push your legs inward toward the chair to tuck the leg rest under the mechanism.

Sizing

RV5 and RV7 are sizing indicators. Compared to RV5, size RV7 adds 2 inches to the seat width, 1 inch to the seat depth, 1 inch to the seat height, and 1 inch to the back height.

Extra Tall (XT) models are always RV7-sized and add two inches to the RV7 back height. See the dimensions tab for product-specific measurements.

Enduring Style, Sustainable Practices

As a founding member of the Sustainable Furniture Council, a nonprofit organization created to promote sustainable practices in the furniture industry, American Leather® is committed to making our products and manufacturing operations environmentally friendly.

This commitment begins at the very foundation of our custom-made furniture. Each frame is constructed from wood harvested from sustainable forests and is precision-engineered to create as little scrap as possible. The scrap that remains is recycled or reused.

All leathers use water-based pigments, and we offer environmentally friendly leathers. Our innovative manufacturing techniques minimize the number of leather scraps, and like our wood scraps, any remaining leather scraps are either recycled or resold for the production of small leather goods.

All of our furniture styles use soy-based BiOH® Polyols Renew™ foam cushioning that is fully recyclable and available in a wide assortment of firmness and densities. Additionally, since April 2014, American Leather has exclusively used foam, leather, fabric, and Ultrasuede® that are free from fire retardants.

Our factory’s central U.S. location not only ensures fast product delivery compared to brands manufactured outside the country by reducing travel time, but it also yields a smaller carbon footprint than imported goods. Also, we conserve energy with automatic light shut-offs and encourage employees to recycle.

American Leather

Founded by engineers in 1990, American Leather® was created on the belief that three months is too long to ever wait for a piece of customized furniture. Their founders believed that 12 weeks was too long to take an order from concept to completion. In the time since, American Leather has set the standard in the industry for custom furniture.
