When Poul Christiansen designed Model 36 in 1976, the idea was that the same type of folding could produce three different products – a ceiling/wall lamp, a pendant lamp, and a lampshade for a table lamp.
The wide edge helped create a folded, pleated lamp, which did not look like other contemporary lampshades. At the same time, the lampshade could be moved on the frame, creating different looks. Model 36 can be used as a ceiling lamp and wall lamp and is supplied in two sizes with a diameter of 55 cm and 65 cm, respectively. The lampshades continue to be made by hand, hand folded by LE KLINT’s pleating technicians at the company’s in-house production facilities in Odense, Denmark.

To clean the shades, you can use a handheld vacuum, a damp cloth, a feather duster, or a soft brush.

Architect Poul Christiansen started his collaboration with LE KLINT in the late 1960s and over the years, he has been one of the most productive designers for LE KLINT. He has created many lamp designs for the company, including Model 172 Sinus, which has become an international classic.
