Caché means hidden in French. This meaning is beautifully symbolized by the almost hidden hand-folded lampshade that has been elegantly integrated to reveal the unique DNA of a classic Le Klint lamp.
The concealed shade is a beautiful design aesthetic but also acts as a diffuser to evenly distribute the light.
Manufactured in matte painted aluminum, brass, and hand-folded plastic shade.
With a sleek contemporary design, the Caché collection consists of five differently sized pendants, a floor lamp, and a table lamp. The perfect designer's touch is a subtle yet elegant brass detail atop the lamp.
Located in Odense, Denmark, LE KLINT focuses on good craftsmanship and in-house production as branding cornerstones. World-renowned quality lighting results from techniques and traditions handed down from generation to generation, which are still carried out today by a broad team of highly skilled workers.

LE KLINT is synonymous with lampshades. Iconic, hand-folded shades take years of learning techniques and mastering many different pleating forms. Only then can a student test into certification to become part of the skilled team of Pleating Technicians. However, this is only a fraction of the procedure of each lamp. Specialist metal workers, woodworkers, and engineers play a big part in the magic of creating unique illuminated art. These tenets have gone hand-in-hand with the folding process since their genesis.

A dedicated LE KLINT team takes great pride in every aspect of the production, fitting, quality control, and shipment procedures to ensure each lamp is unique. In-house production facilities in Odense collaborate with skilled suppliers such as wood carvers, metal casters, and glass blowers, based in Denmark or internationally, with the main focus on quality as “the” guideline.
To clean the shades, you can use a handheld vacuum, a damp cloth, a feather duster, or a soft brush.

To remove the shades - follow instructions in the manual as you would fit or replace a lightbulb.

Aurélien Barbry

Aurélien Barbry graduated with Honor from Ecole Camondo Paris as an industrial and interior designer. He started his career by working with famous architect Jean Nouvel.
Since then, Aurélien Barbry has worked on many different interior and design projects; his clients include Georg Jensen, COR, Menu, Normann Copenhagen, and ENO, among others.
Today, Barbry's home is in Copenhagen, where he continues to work on challenging designs.
Barbry's first product for LE KLINT was la cloche, a beautiful bell-shaped lamp (hence the name) folded by dexterous "pleating ladies." With this design, the french designer Aurélien Barbry adds a new classic design to LE KLINT's lamp collection. In 2014 Aurélien Barbry designed Caché, which in French means hidden. The almost hidden hand-folded lampshade beautifully symbolizes this, which has been elegantly integrated to reveal the unique DNA of a classic LE KLINT lamp.
Aurélien Barbry's latest lamp design is Facet. He focused on finding an iconic yet straightforward shape ideal for indoor and outdoor use. After mastering the shell shape in steel, he incorporated optional removable parts, which he felt were very important, to offer the flexibility to fit a FACET into any interior or exterior décor. Aurélien Barbry is delighted to have found a new yet subtle way to reference LE KLINT's beautiful pleating and not pollute the DNA.

LE KLINT

LE KLINT is a lighting company established in 1943, but the story of the company dates back to the beginning of the 20th century when a hand pleated lamp shade was folded to fit a paraffin lamp both designed by architect and master of engineering P.V. Jensen-Klint. We have ever since maintained our original concept but we are constantly seeking to develop within modern times.
